3.00 higher; however, Heifers
under 950 lbs. continued in narrow
demand with some sales only
steady. Cows steady to 1.00 higher,
advance mainly on canner, cutter
and boning utility. Bulls steady.
Four day receipts 10,375 com
pared 12,375 last week, 17,850 year
ago.
Extremely cold weather cur
tailed Monday receipts and fed
Cattle prices reacted sharply
upward. Rough winter weather
continues to adversely affect
dressing percentages and weight
gains. Steers make up 40 pet. of
estimated five day total, Heifers 32
pet. Cows 8 pet. Feeders 19 pet.
