82 of his chapter. In addition, he is
also serving as president of the
county FFA chapter.

Mrs. Carl Ewing, R 2, McClure.
Among the previous FFA
degrees he has received are

Area.
He was presented with the local
Proficiency Award in Diversified
Livestock Production.
His extracurricular activities
are centered on church events.
In the future, he plans to farm in
partnership in the family dairy and
swine operation.
His principal hobby is hunting.
Michael Shehan
West Snyder Chapter
West Snyder High School
Seventeen-year-old Michael
Shehan, son of Mr. and Mrs. John
C. Shehan, 112, McClure, has
conducted both market swine and
dairy herd projects in his four
years of FFA activities.
He has received his tireenhand.
Chapter and SUN Area degrees
prior to bis nomination for the
state Keystone Degree.
With his chapter, be has served
as assistant sentinel and also as
parliamentarian in the SUN Area
FFA Chapter.
He has participated in the local
Land Judging Contest.
Already, he has established a
small dairy herd and is presently
managing and milking the herd.
Hunting is his major hobby.

Travis Hollenbach

Mifflinburg Area High School
Travis Hollenbach, 17, is the son
of Jerry and Sandy Hollenbach, of
R 2, Mifflinburg.
His on-farm work experience has
been done on the Mark Wehr farm,
R 2, Mifflinburg.
He has served as chairman of the
Conservation Committee and been
a member of the FFA Week and
Food for America groups. His
competition has been in the areas
of small gas engines, public
speaking and tractor driving.
' Among his top awards have been
in Project Books, Placement in
Agricultural Production
Proficiency and the SCS Public
Speaking. Also, he has been a
member of the fifth-place team in
the State Small Gas Engine
Contest and placed ninth in state
public speaking.
He is a member of the Union
County Bowling Assn., Key Club,
NBA, Buffalo Valley Sportsman

He plans to enter the Air Force
after graduation. Among his
hobbies are motorcycle riding,
hunting, fishing, trapping,
snowmobilmg, go-cart racing and
bowling.
Dairy cattle projects have been
among the main activities in the
work experience -of Barry E.
Rothermel, son of Earl and
Faylene Rothermel, R 2, Mif
flinburg.
He has served as chairman of
committees in community service,
livestock and crops and livestock
and has been on the exhibit and
demonstration committee.
Among the awards that Barry
has won are those in Area Land
Judging, Dairy Proficiency,
Placement in Agriculture
Production Proficiency and Soil
and Water Conservation
Proficiency.
In sports, he has been captain of
the basketball team and an in
tramural volley ball team. He has
also been captain and treasurer of
the Church Quiz Team.
After graduation, he plans to
start working into a partnership in
