With increased support from the private sector many more young people could be exposed to 4-H educational programs in their important developmental years.” Maurice Kramer, state 4-H youth director at Penn State, notes that Pennsylvania Friends of 4-H resources will also be used to in crease volunteer involvement in 4- H. Volunteers are the backbone of the 4-H program and currently there are over 13,000 volunteers working with 4-H programming in the Commonwealth, Pennsylvania Friends of 4-H will be assisting this group by providing them training op portunities throughout the state. During this fiscal year. Friends of 4-H will provide funds to 4-H volunteers to attend a statewide leader's forum in March. r wnfe poiwezreß) ! vmz?)
