financial
workshop
A farm financial workshop for
January 5-6 is sponsored by the
Cambria County Agricultural
Extension Service.
The workshop will provide and
in-depth educational program
about agricultural financing and
credit. The participants will have
an opportunity to work out
problems on net worth, cost of
credit, debt carrying ability, cash
flow analysis and a sound credit
position.

Agricultural Extension Agent
emphasized “that keeping farms
and farmers economically sound
depends on their ability to manage
money and credit. Todays farm
business- requires a large, in
vestment.' The operating capital
needed to manage the business is
large and costly. The ability of a
farm to pay its debts is at a very
critical. stage especially for
younger and newer farmers. ’ ’
The workshop will bring together
some outstanding people in the
finance of agriculture in Cambria
County. Representatives from the
Extension Service, Farmers Home
Administration, Farm Credit, U.S.
National Bank, AgWay Inc., Hines
Equipment, and the Pennsylvania
Fanners Association will par
ticipate on the program.
