Ten days ago was cookie-making
day at the Risser’s and I put 18
boxes of ten different kinds in the
freezer.
One thing that urged me on was
the fact that I wanted to mail a box
-to my daughter’s family in Seattle.
We had just purchased a 40 pound
£ block of cheddar cheese from our

daughter says that what David
really liked was the “kitty” ap

This year I also made a fancy pin
cushion as a gift. There is a certain
satisfaction in giving something
that you created yourself.
Each year I try to use a different
Christmas arrangement for the
table. Often it includes bright red
apples with evergreens and can
dles. this year I added shiny, dried
white honesty which I grew, and I
liked the appearance.
The weekend after Christmas
will be a busy one for us as we plan
to have my relatives come here on
