    KITTANING In the 43rd year of Armstrong County s
DHIA, county producers realized an 84JUpounds increase in
milk production trom last year. The coimty'i-24 tull-year herds
average 15,195 pounds of milk in contrast to the 1980
average for 14,354.
Butterfat production also increased by 17 pounds. The
county's 1,241 cows on test finished with a butterfat average
of 559 pounds over last year’s 542 pounds
Ray Claypole & Sons of Worthington led the county in milk
and tat with averages of 16,167 pounds 'of mik and 650
pounds of fat on 77. S cows.
The county's higli milk record of 25,564 was set by a
Holstein owned by Mark Campbell & Sons of Ford City High
butterfat producer was a Holstein owned by Leroy Schrock &
Sons of Dayton, which finished with a record of 943 pounds of
fat
