the Completion of the Lackawanna County DHIA 55th year.
The county's 1,086 cows on test averaged 15,878 pounds of
milk and 598 pounds of fat
George and Paul Sheypuk of Jermyn headed the list of
county records, (their 12th in a row) at 21,117 pounds of milk
and 812 pounds of fat on 62.3 cows

based on a Fat-Corrected Milk basis. FCM is a method devised
for converting yields to a 3 5% fat-corrected milk basis. FCM
allows the comparison of milk production records, varying
widely in percentage of butterfat and thus differing in energy
values
