Cow Identifier—
when a cow puts her head
in a feeder, her identification
code is read by the Cow
Identifier mounted on the
front panel of each feed
station A signal is
transmitted back to the
Central Control Unit, and the
feeder automatically dispenses
the correct ration and amount
of feed for that particular
cow Feed is dispensed at a
controlled rate which matches
a cow’s normal rate of consumption If she moves
