Slaughter steer and heifer prices
advanced early in the week in
fluenced by the late rally in the
carcass beef prices the previous
week By midweek a lower trading
and unsettled meat trade caused
buyers to halt to remove part of the
early weeks advancement of live
prices. Receipts this week about
3100 as compared to 2676 a week
ago and 3647 Last year.
