READING The Berks County
4-H leaders and members were
honored recently for their service
and outstanding achievements
during the past year at the Berks
County 4-H Recognition Night, at
the Berks Co. Ag. Center.
Highlighting the evening was
guest speaker, Steve Levy, former
Sportscaster for Channel Six
Action News, Philadelphia.
Following the presentation of the
teen and adult leader and various
special awards was the annual
"Make Your Own Sundae” buffet
which concluded the program for
the evening. Financial support for
the program was provided again
this year by the Hamilton Bank of
Lancaster.

Holland Herring, Clalk Hill,
Fayette County. Herring is
president of the Pennsylvania
Council of Cooperative Extension
Associations and vice-president of
the Northeast United States
Council of Cooperative Extension
Associations. As a result of his
affiliation with these
organizations, be has worked with
state and federal legislators as
well as USDA officials on behalf of
Extension work.
