According to those in charge of the puppies, the project has a three fold dimension. The program serves as an educational ex perience for each child and as a family project. The overall goal ot the program is to provide a blind person with a leader dog. The puppies stay with the 4-H’ers for one year. In the past few months, they have received many requests to take the puppies to service clubs for presentations.
