AlB—Lancaster Farming, Saturday, October 10,1981 Royal HARRISBURG It was almost another clean sweep of champion honors for Royal Charolais, one of the leading Charolais beef cattle breeders in the nation, during the Monday showing of the big, white breed here at KILE. The Westmoreland County farm claimed the grand champion plaques for both the heifer and bull competition, along with the reserve grand champion bull honors. They also had senior champion, junior champion, reserve junior champion in the female division, and senior champion and junior and reserve junior champion bull, plus all the groupawards. All their winnings earned the western Pennsylvania farm the honors of Premier Breeder and Premier Exhibitor. The grand champion female was RCC Royal Temptress 3377, a late summer yearling heifer who was tagged senior champion by Judge Gary Minish of VPI. This July 1980 daughter of HCR Expectation 269 is out of a Royal cow, RCC Royal Rockette 2063. The grand champion heifer was co-exhibited by Royal and Misasu Corporation, Greensburg. Royal’s senior heifer calf and junior heifer calf entries stood at the top of their classes and took junior and reserve junior cham pion rosettes, respectively. Royal Charolais Co. teamed up with Hibbert Charolais and Flint Hills Charolais to show the reserve grand champion bull, RCC Vin dicator 3262. This April 1980 son of Expectation was the show’s junior champ. As his name would imply, RCC Mr. Expectation 3298 was not to be left out when it came to Ex pectation get winning awards at this year’s KILE. This summer yearling bull entry of Bratton Charolais and Royal Charolais Co. earned the reserve junior cham pion title. Although no longer owned by Royal Charolais, another RCC prefix showed up on the reserve calf champion bull. RCC Mr. Expectation 3388, a September 1980 calf, is owned by Carolyn and Earl H. Clutter of Prosperity, Washington County. The reserve grand champion Charolais female was exhibited by James L. Smith of Little Rock, Arkansas and Malcolm Comrher of Jonestown, Mississippi. Their entry, FF MS Fairfield 391 Polled, a summer yearling, was the reserve senior champion female.
