illegal. I would like to know,
what is the largest official recorded weight of a lobster? D.D.,

A good many lobsters are taken today by fishing vessels that use otter
trawls. It is not illegal to take them, probably never was unless they were
egg-bearing. Vie have seen a lobster that weighed 37 have
heard of one that weighed 56, but we don't know what the record is.
