top tractor drivers
capped the FFA competition for
two years previous.
The Kennard-Dale FFA
graduate admits to an affinity for
farm tractors, saying he spends
most of his time “on them, or
working on them” as part of his
full-time employment on the
Marstellar beef and crops
operation. In November, he’ll
enter the Vale Technical School
near Pittsburgh to further study
engines and ailto mechanics.
Todd Warner is the son of dairy
farmers Mr. and Mrs. James
Warner/ Rl New Park, and a
junior in the vo-ag program at
Kennard-Dale.
Like Marstellar, Warner has
won his second-m-a-row FFA

the FFA retires their champions.
Both youth driving winners
attest that they climbed on trac
tors when they were small boys,
getting plenty of on-the-job
training for driving competition.
Competitors must start and stop
their machines, pull and back
wagons into marked stalls, identify
parts, and complete written tests.
Runner-up in the 4-H competition
was Roy Thompson, East Berlin,
and Melvin Marks, the Red Lion
' FFA chapter, placed second in the
FFA division.
