judged 12 classes of livestock: 5 ot
beef, 4 ot swine, and 3 of sheep.
Afterwards they gave 3 oral sets of
reasons one- from each species
explaining how they placed the
respective class.
Following in second place at the
Eastern States Exposition was
Maryland; Delaware was third;
New Hampshire fourth; and
Connecticut fifth.
