The purpose of Work Day was to prepare the food to be served at the Lancaster Co. Society 18 Lancaster County Society 18 met b® at the Farm and Home recently at the home of Mrs. Center, October 20. County Convention will be November 7 with Dot Wirth as speaker at the Farm and Home Center. Mrs. Beck will be installed as a new member next month. Before the meeting, the women had a birthday dinner at Trainer’s Midway Diner. Birthday presents were exchanged after the meeting. A hoedown will be held at the Hamburg Field House Saturday, October 24, from 8 to 12 a.m. Tickets can be purchased from any member of the Society. Door prizes will be given at the end of the evening. The County Convention will be held September October 3. All the women should bring something for the silent auction. It starts at 9:30. The’ winners of the dcrapbook will be announced at that time. Members made shoo-fly pies and sold them at the Reading Fair.
