"Trait Leader recognition is
based upon an evaluation of
progeny performance records
from '1,300 bulls listed in the 1982
Sire Summary”, said Executive
Vice President Earl B. Peterson. A
total of 458,684 performance
records from 44,003 management
units were considered.
All Sunmental bulls that meet
qualifying progeny standards are
included in the ASA Sire Sum
mary, and are thus eligible for
consideration as Genetic Trait
Leaders. A bull may be named in
more than one trait, provided his
progeny rank in the top two per
cent of those recorded in the
specified trait.
