A Registered Holstein cow owned by Christian Zook, R, #2,
Gap, completed the highest 305 day lactation. Dixie produced
26,976 lbs of milk, 1,048 lbs. of butterfat with a 3.9% test
Second high lactation was completed by a Registered Holstein
cow owned by Vern-Lee Holstems, R. H 2, Denver. Glory
produced 21,731 lbs. of milk, 1,038 lbs of butterfat with a
4 8% test in 305 days
The herd of Vern-Lee Holstems, R #2, Denver, had the
highest daily butterfat average. This herd of 45.7 Registered
Holstein cows averaged 63.8 lbs of milk, 2.33 lbs. of but
terfat with a 3.7% test. The herd of Harlan W. Hoover, R. #l,
Ephrata, placed second. This herd of 29.0 Holstein cows
averaged 59.7 lbs. of milk, 2.218 lbs. of butterfat with a 3.7%
test.
