“We want to give God credit for
allowing us to work with the
registered Holstein cow, since
everything we have and own
belongs to God.” says Don.
In this day and age when social
scientists bombard us with reports
of eroding family structure and
increases in teen-age crime, the'
Hostetter family is like a breath of
fresh air. And surely one of the
greatest blessings they will share
with others is the love and mutual
respect they practice at home.

A trip through the barn office presents a pictoral history of

framed photo of the family’s favorite “Lassie’’ cow. Before
she left the Mapiebound herd at 17 years of age, the Holstein
had a lifetime production of more than 250,000 pounds and
classified 914 E.
