The shows were held here in conjunction with the New Jersey Agricultural Fair. For Grand Champion Polled Hereford female, Purdy selected a May, 1980 entry, 0 Miss Reliance M 40, from Oceanside Farm, Pennington, N.J. This heifer was the Junior Champion female. The Reserve Grand Champion Heifer was Gk Dancette 217 m born April 29, 1980. Sired by Wild Cat Sundance 7k, the heifer is owned by Laura Tessier Laytonsville, Maryland. She was the Reserve Junior Champion. Grand Champion Polled Hereford Bull was the Senior Champion entry from Dunwalke Farms, Far Hills N.J. and Ace Polled Herefords, Millbrook, N.Y. The bull, Reenforcement, was bom April 9, 1979 and was sired by Enforcer 107 H. Reserve Grand Champion Bull, the Reserve Senior Champion, was Hilger Special 415, born April 17, 1979. Mushroom growers meet KENNETT SQUARE - ‘Dry Bubble’, a verticillium disease in mushrooms, will be the topic of discussion as mushroom growers converge here next Thursday for the American Mushroom Institute meeting.
