    Baby parade Thursday
QUARRYVILLE- A Baby
Parade will be held Thursday at 7
p.m., weather permitting, in
conjunction with the Soianco Fair.
Any child 6 years of age and
under is eligible to participate.
Preregistration with entry
blanks are required. The entry
blanks must be mailed to Mrs.
Walter F. Koch Jr., H 3, Box 51,
Quarryville, Pa. 175':6, or
presented to the fair office by 12
noon on Wednesday. .
While the parade begins at 7 p.m.
Thursday, entrants must report by
6 p.m. and prejudging begins at
6:15 p.m. on the fair grounds.
Judging is based equally on four
factors - work and effort,
costuming, overall theme and
appearance, jand decorative
creativity.
at Soianco
Three parade divisions are
planned.
Division A is the Walking
Division. Classes include youngest,
best mutation of nursery rhyme or
fairy tale, best characterization,
most original, best team, prettiest
girl and most handsome boy.
A grand prize of (25 will be given
for the best float.
Division B is the Float Division.
Classes include most beautiful,
best mutation of nursery rhyme or
fairy tale, most original,, best
characterization and
miscellaneous.
Division C includes vehicles on
wheels. Classes mclude best
carried out theme, most original
and miscellaneous.
Ham date for the baby parade is
Friday at 10 aan.
Highlights of the fair
William Arrowsmith is shown with his aged

pionship at the 1980 Soianco Fair.
