Clinton livestock 4-H
The grand champion market lamb was another entry shown
by Greg Connor. To his sales purse of steer cash, Greg added
the contribution of Ruth M. Crissman, Inc., wholesale packers
in Castanea. The lamb weighed 117 pounds and brought
$2.36 per pound.
The reserve champion 4-H market lamb at the 4-H
Livestock Auction was purchased by Clintondale Mills, R 3 Mill
Hail. The 98-pound lamb was shown by Kim Connor, R 1 Mill
Hall and sold for $1.66 per pound. Shown with Kim and her
iamb is Mrs. David Johnson of Clintondale Mills.
Greg Connor, also exhibited the reserve grand champion 4-
H Steer. The 1032-pound steer was purchased by Dr. William
R. Edwards, 308 N. Vesper St., Lock Haven for $1.55 per
pound. With Greg are Edwards' children, William Jr. and
Suzanne.

MILL HALL When the grand
champion livestock crossed the
auction block during the Clinton
Country Fair and 4-H Round-Up
sale, it was evident this was going
to be a “boom” year for young
Greg Connor, HI Mill Hall. This top
- stockman exhibited all three
species’ champs steer, lamb,
and hog along with the reserve
champion steer.
Conner’s grand champion steer,
weighed 1230 pounds and was
purchased by Ellis Warner of the
Big Wrangler Steak House, Lock
Haven for $2.11 per pound.
His reserve grand champion
steer weighed 1032 pounds. It was
purchased by Dr. William R.
Edwards, General Dentistry, 308
North Vesper Street, Lock Haven
for $1.55 per pound. Dr. Edwards
also purchased Connor’s grand
champion hog, a 237-pound animal,
for $4 per pound.
Crissman, Inc., Castanea pur
chased the grand champion lamb,
a 117-pound animal also owned by
Connor, for $2.36 per pound.
The reserve champion lamb,
owned by Kim Conner, was pur
chased by Clintondale Mills for
$1.66 per pound.
Reserve grand champion hog
was shown by Lyndon Yearick,
Mill Hall. It weighed 225 pounds
and was sold to Albright’s Feed
Mill, Mill Hall for $1.82 per pound.
Thirty eigth buyers spent
$27,538.08 for 65 market animals at
the 4-H Livestock Auction on
Saturday night at the Clinton
County Fair and 4-H Round-Up.
Auctioneer for the sale was Bill
Tressler, Mill Hall.
