Hort Show coming
UNIVERSITY PARK -
Selecting trees, flowers, and
shrubs for the home can be fun and
educational. A visit to the 68th
annual Horticulture Show at the
Pennsylvania State University
could provide some suggestions.
The event will be held September
12 and 13 in the flower gardens
along University Drive.
Two circus tents will display
ideas and demonstrations ranging
from landscape designs to flower
arrangements. Tips for vegetable
gardening and suggestions for
small fruit culture will also be
included.
Hours for the Horticulture Show
will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.ra. on
Saturday, September 12, and from
9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sep
tember 13. Admission is free.

will be available for purchase in
the sales area. Mushrooms, apple
cider, and honey will also be for
sale. Profits will be used to cover
expenses for the show and provide
scholarships and educational field
trips for members of the Hor
ticulture Club.
