Beginning Tuesday, July 14th, and for every
Tuesday thereafter, Walter M. Dunlap and Sons will
conduct a fat hog sale.
This sale will be in addition to the Monday; Wed
nesday and Saturday sales, thereby giving all hog
producers a choice of marketing their hogs any one of
four days a week instead of three.
It is important to note that all hogs consigned for
Tuesday’s market must arrive between 6 A.M. and 9
A.M.

steers turned cautious; heifers 50-

cows 2.00-2.50 higher, bulls steady
to firm.
Steer and heifer prices declined
Tuesday due to lower dressed
trade. Small receipts Wednesday
did not reflect recovery in dressed
beet trade. Cow receipts very
small and prices forced upward
despite last week’s cow beef
market, midweek developments on
imported beef further stimulating
late demand. Average weight of
steers purchased for slaughter is
lighter, this week due to feeding
interests being mostly out of
market. Average weight of heifers
going to slaughter l remains up as
