Goats are added attraction
KUTZTOWN - This year
Kutztown Fair had four goat
breeds and thirteen youths com
peting m goat type, showmanship
and fitting.
One exhibitor was sixteen-year
old Debbie Price of Douglasville,
who also exhibited Guernseys
during the dauy cattle show.
Debbie proved she knows her goats
as well as cows, going home with
Champion Alpine, Junior Cham-
at Kutztown
pion Nubian, and Reserve
Champion Nubian honors. With
only two years experience, Debbie
was selected as reserve champion
showman, topped only by Joe
Flock of Leesport.
Debbie is an eleventh grade
student in the Daniel Boone School
District, who became interested in
goats “just because I liked them.”
Presently, she has ten goats which
she milks.
