LANDISBURG - The Perry
County Dairy Princess Committee
netted more than $2,000 from
proceeds at the recent Dairy
Princess Promotional Sale in the
Art Klmg Auction Barn near
Landisburg.
From the 47 animals up for sale,
Sante-Acres Lift-Off Nana topped
the sale with a $4,000 price tag
which was double the sale average.
The 2-year-old Holstein female
was purchased by Thomas and
Shayne Dum, Landisburg and
consigned by Kenneth and Jane
Benner, Millerstown.
Art Klmg’s consignment, a 2-
year-old Kit Builder daughter was
purchased by Merle and Nancy
Woodring, Chambersburg, for
$3,400.
Darnel Albright, Landisburg,
bought the third-high seller for
$3,000. Dumbelle Farms consigned

Lancaster County. Henry Lapp,
Gap, purchased three. John
Kreider, Lancaster, bought a 4-
year-old Jet Stream daughter and
Clarence Shirk, Ephrata, trucked
two animals home.
Hummelstown breeder,
Franklin Wagner, Jr., purchased
more than one-third of the total
consignments.
The sale, which helped raise
money for the Perry County Dairy
Princess Committee also
benefited the county’s Junior
Holstein Club.
Kenneth and Jane Benner
donated a calf to the Club, which in
turn consigned the animal to the
sale and received the full sale price
towards Club activities and ex
penses.
