The final district meeting will be. a District 4 gathering $t the Walkersville Carnival Ground in Frederick County, Md. on Monday, August 17 at 8:00. A special meeting of the entire -membership is scheduled for August 24 at Mamott’s Hunt Valley Inn in Cockeysville, Md. 'Although ballots have been distributed at all local and district meetings, no votes will be counted until the final vote is taken at the Hunt Valley meeting. According to Richburg, a two thirds affirmative vote of the cooperative’s total membership or 777 yes votes are required for approval of the resolution. The Maryland co-op is currently in the process of conducting formal district meetings in which members have a chance to vote via secret ballot. “This is probably the most important decision the mem bership has had to make since the cooperative was formed in 1918,” said Donald E. Cole, District 2 director. “It is extremely important that each member obtain the facts about this move and that each member makes his desires known.
