Jacktown Fair attracts more than 200 entries
JACKTOWN - More than 200
head of livestock were shown at
Greene County’s 115th Annual
Jacktown Fair.
The five-day event held during
the last week in July, featured for
the first tune a Limousin class in
the Beef division.
Carl Burns, Graysville, cornered
the Limousin division by exhibiting
animals that swept all the top
honors. His entries were named
Junior, Senior and Grand
Champion Bull as well as Junior,
Senior and Grand Champion
Female.
Donald Witt, a former 4-H’er
from Champion judged the
livestock while Lyle Carter,
Washington, a retired Extension
agent, placed the dairy classes.
