Eggs
Eastern markets closed m a
weak position although some trade
sentiment was trying to show a
little confidence due to anticipation
of the first of the month business.
Cartoned egg movement is slow,
pricing is extremely competitive
and supplies are heavy and bur
densome. Southern producers
picked up a little extra shipping
demand tor class I’s m Texas and
Western Pennsylvania. Nest run
breaking stock was increasingly
available in the southeast and
central states but most breakers
are indifferent. The market is
steady m Southern California.
Large remain in plentiful supply
but mediums are m balance with
needs. Northern California prices
will advance on mediums and hold
steady on other sizes tor Monday
delivery.
