C3o—Lancaster Farming, Saturday, July 25,1981 Record numbers show Angus heifers at nat 9 l show NASHVILLE, Tn. - Young Angus breeders brought 604 head of Angus heifers to the 1981 National Junior Angus Heifer Show in Nashville, Tennessee, July 9*lo, making it the largest single breed heifer show ever held, reports Jerry Lipsey, director of Junior Activities for the American Angus Association. The event held here at the Tennessee State Fairground, was -judged by Bill Jacobs of California Polytechnic College, San Luis Obispo. For grand champion Jacobs selected the champion heifer of the bred-and-owned division shown by Rick Blanchard, Mendota, California.
