The daughter of Mr. and Mrs Kenneth Garber, Willow Street, Janice has been showing for three years. Her intermediate Guernsey calf. Willows Extra Sophie, was named Junior Reserve Champion for that Breed. Lancaster County’s 1980 Dairy Princess, Connie Balmer, 19, captured Champion Senior Showman honors. Connie, a 10- year veteran in the show ring, also took home the ribbon for Grand Champion Guernsey with her entry, Gordlines Princess Nanette. Walnut Run Miss Sarah Purcel was named Reserve Grand Champion Guernsey. The senior yearling, also the Junior Breed Champ, was shown by Mike Rohrer, 12, son of Mr. Robert Rohrer, Strasburg. Hillacres Ben Ellen, a 2%-year old Jersey took home Grand Champion honors for that breed. Ellen, also named Senior Champ was shown by her owner and breeder, Helen Arrowsmith, 11, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Arrowsmith, Peach Bottom Jere Shertzer, 12, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Shertzer exhibited the Reserve Grand Champion Jersey, Ralaine Asm Fancy, a senior calf.
