into its midst recently. Two young
women have accepted positions
with the staff.
Phoebe R. Bitler has been ap
pointed to assistant Extension
agent. She will be conducting

Berks County staff created by the
recent resignation of Mae D.
Bleiler.
A native of Fleetwood, Bitter
received a bachelor of arts degree
from Albright College m 1977,
majoring in home economics
education.

Prior to her appointment to the
Berks County staff, Bitier was
coordinator of the Berks County
Dairy Farmer’s Association,
substitute teacher at the Oxford
Area High School, and clothing
construction instructor for a fabric
shop.
She is a member of the Berks
County, Pennsylvania, and
American Home Economics
Associations, and is married to
David W. Bitter.
Judith S. Stoudt has been ap
pointed associate Extension agent
and will be conducting educational
programs in the areas of
agronomy, home horticulture,
farm engineering, and energy.
She fills the vacancy on the
Cab,
Air Heat,
Lancaster Farming, Saturday, July 25,1981—C1S
Berks County staff created by the
recent retirement of James F.
Haldeman.
A native of BemviUe, Stoudt
received a bachelor of science
degree from Penn State in 1972,
majoring in agricultural
education. She also has done
graduate work at the University.
Prior to being named to the
Berks County staff, she was an
agriculture instructor at the
Bethlehem Area and Lancaster
County Area Vocational-Technical
Schools and pesticide applicator
for a chemical company.
She is a member of the BemviUe
Grange and Alpha Tau Alpha,
Gamma Sigma Delta, and Phi
Delta Kappa societies.
Stoudt is married to Lynn E.
Stoudt and is the proud mother of a
little girl.
Both Bitter and Stoudt will be
associated with County Extension
Director, Herbert A. Wetzel, with
offices in the Berks County
