HARRISBURG -
Antlerless deer license
applications will be
| received by first class
mail by county
treasurers, beginning
Monday, October 5. The
exception mil be in
Potter County where
applications will be
received at the
following address: Hie
Pennsylvania Game
Commission, Post
Office Box 482,
Coudersport, Pa., 16915.
An agreement
reached between the
Game Commission and
the Potter County
Commissioners earlier
this year calls for the
Commission to
supervise and direct the
distribution of Potter
County licenses from
Coudersport. The
Commissioners will
provide staff and space
to assist in the
distribution .and- will
receive the usual
agent’s fee for use by
the county.
This arrangement
was necessitated as a
result of the Pother
County treasurer
having been removed by
the Commission as a,
hunting license issuing
agent in the fall of 1980
for alleged
irregularities in the
issuance of 1979 an
tlerless deer licenses.
The case is still pending
adjudication by the
court.
Persons applying for
Potter County permits
are reminded of the
address change which
must be corrected on
the envelope - and also
that checks or money
orders must be made
payable to the Penn
sylvania Game Com
mission - and not the
Potter Coupty
treasurer.
