The Society president, Kathryn Erb, was in charge of the meeting. Because June is Dairy month, favorite dairy products were named as the 12 members present answered roll call: Michele Rodgers from the Ex tension Service was the guest speaker. Her theme was “Sum mertime Desserts,” and everyone observed as she made up at tractive and unusual dishes of food. The county picnic will be held at the Lampeter Fairgrounds at noon on August 4. The family picnic for Society 13 will be held at the Lancaster County Park on August 5 at 6 p.m. Hot dogs, rolls, soft drinks and coffee will be furnished. There will not be any regular meetings during July and August. Lancaster Co. Society 31 Farm Women 31 met at the home of Mrs. Doris Aument. The meeting opened with Josh Stroup from Family and Children’s Services speaking on “Keeping the lines of communication open.” Roll call for the evening was a self improvement goal to which sixteen members responded. During the business meeting it was decided to give $lOO to Cerebral Palsy to send a child to camp and $lOO to the Wayne Hassel Fund. ' Members brought a covered dish made from a dairy product Betty Jean Hoch, Beits County Dairy Princess performed a skit and made a berry wobble drink for everyone. A donation of |25 was given to the Kidney Fund. A family picnic will be held on Sunday, July 19 at Daniel Boone Homestead, Birdsboro. The next meeting will be on Tuesday, July 21 at the home of Mrs. Jacob Hartz. The program will be quilting. Lebanon Co. Society 20 Lebanon Farm Women2o met at the home of Estella Shirk to hear Mrs. Krall from Krall’s Craft Center give a silk flower demon stration. President Julie Wagner con ducted the business meeting with 18 members present. Members ruled to help at the Sno-Cone stand at the 4-H fair.
