Anne is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Ronald Daubert, R 2, Pine Grove. She is a recent graduate of Pine Grove Area High School where she was captain of the archery team, and a member of the band and varsity clubs. Anne is vice-president and secretary of her church youth group and president of the South Schuylkill 4-H Cattle Club. She is a junior member of both the Penn sylvania and, National Brown Swiss Association and served as the 1980 Schuylkill County Alter nate Dairy Princess. In college, Anne plans to major ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - Young Angus breeders across the country soon will head to Nashville, Ten nessee, for the National Junior Angus Heifer Show set for July 9- 10, reports Jerry Lipsey, director of junior acitivites for the American Angus Association. Some 800 heifers are entered in the show, which vill be at the state Fairgrounds. A special treat for heifer exhibitors this year, courtesy of the Tennessee Junior Angus Association, will be tickets and bus rides to Opryland, a unique amusement park In addition, more than 500 Angus enthusiasts will attend the Grand Ole Opry performance on Friday night, July 10. The national show will feature two heifer divisions plus cow-calf classes. Heifers bred and owned by the ehxibitors will show first, followed by cows, then heifers Princess in education oi me deal. Aime is a supervisor for the Schuylkill County DHIA. Karen Hinkel of R 1 Ashland, was chosen Alternate Dairy Princess. Karen is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Hinkel, R 1 Ashland. She is a senior at Tri-Valley High School where she was junior class president, president of the band, member of F.B.L.A. and student council and basketball statistician. Karen will also serve-as student council president and drum majorette during the coming year. The 1980 Schuylkill County Dairy Princess, Sharon Heisler crowned Princess Anne and also demon strated one of her presentations during the pageant held recently in Junior Angus breeders head to Nashville owned by the exhibitors. Each exhibitor may show two owned heifers and as many bred-and owned entries as they wish. To be eligible for the cow-calf classes, sponsored by the Ten nessee juniors, cows must be bred and owned, enrolled in the Angus Herd Improvement Records program, halter-broken and exhibited with their most recent calf. Entries will be judged by visual appraisal, as well as on accuracy and detail of per formance data. This competition will be divided into classes for first-calf heifers and mature cows. The Tennessee junior group will provide $lOO, $5O, $4O, $3O and $2O premium money for the top five entries in each cow-calf class. Exhibitors must be junior or life members of the American Angus Association'and at least 9 years old but not more than 21 years of age by January 1,1981.
