Substantial advances in the
carcass and boxed beef trade,
beginning late last week, provided
the momentum to raise Steer and
Heifer prices through Tuesday to
their highest levels in the past four
weeks. However, the sessions
upswing was blunted at midweek
as salable numbers increased and
the beef trade momentarily
declined. Demand by, most in
terests good throughout week,
except for Heifers weighing 925
lbs. and down and Steers weighing
1050 lbs. and down; these kinds
being present in increasing
numbers.
STEERS: Earlier in week, two
loads Choice 2-3 1225-1409 lbs.
