Mrs. Myers can often be found in
the barn or milk house doing her
share, but she also works part time
in the kitchen of a home for
retarded children. One daughter
lives at home, a son is in the Army
and another son John farms across
the field from Memn on his
grandfather's farm with his wife

the Pennsylvania Guernsey

as a director. He is also serving on
PFA’s 15-member dairy action
committee which, he says,
“considers a good many
problems,”
Within the Guernsey breed he is
a local and state director of the
York-Adams Guernsey
Association. He enjoys promoting
Guernsey cows, stating, “It’s
easier to work with gentle cows.”
He feels these community ac
tivities are vital, stating, “It helps
us understand our own problems
and it helps to share yours with
others. Too many people join in
name only. They don’t get
