is cancelled.
We apologize for the indecision
on the sale this year. We did not
wish to cancel, but a lack of entries
forced us to make this decision.
A limited number of entries
originally started our problems,
but the interstate health
regulations as administered for the

you do your transplanting.
Or, even better, you might want
to buy a special starter fertilizer.
These are specially designed
complete fertilizers which are high
in available phosphors. Be sure to
follow the directions on the con
tamer.
To Beware of “Bargain”
Electric Motors
If you attend a sale or are
otherwise confronted with the
opportunity to purchase electric
motors at bargain prices, make
sure you buy something you can
use. Often a motor is purchased
and the buyer finds he cannot use

, state of Pennsylvania by the
Bureau of Animal Industry further
complicated the situation. Even
after an acceptable number of
entries for the sale were solicited,
a number of those were knocked
out because they did not meet the
Pennsylvania health regulations
for admission to that state. That
left us with too few head to hold the
sale.

Most farms have only single
phase electric power.'Many tunes
three phase motors are offered for
sale at very low prices and far
mers have purchased them,
unaware that they could not be
used.
Before completing such a pur
chase it is wise to read the name
plate. This will tell you whether the
motor is single or three phase, the
horsepower, shaft speed, voltage,
and amperage. If it is a single
phase motor, be sure that its
horsepower does not exceed that
allowable at your farm. Your
power supplier will be able to
provide this information.
