    E-Town dominates FFA agronomy
ELIZABETHTOWN Members
of the Elizabethtown Chapter of
Future Farmers of America
dominated the Lancaster County
FFA Agronomy Contest held
Tuesday at the Elizabethtown High
School.
Competitors from Elizabethtown
captured four of the five top team
placmgs and seven of the ten top
individual placings.
The contest, which extended
over an hour and a half, included
the identification of weeds, various
legumes and grasses, insects and
diseases; questions based on the
Agronomy Guide and the judging
of several hay samples.
The winning Elizabethtown
team, which was presented a
trophy by Guy Braxton, field

Pequea Valley A- team, sixth;
Manheim C team, seventh;
Manheim B team, eighth; and
Pequea Valley B team, ninth.
The order of individual finishers,
behind Garber and Noll, who took
first and second respectively, were
Tracey Stowe, Elizabethtown,
third; Barry Geib, Manheim,
Special features such as the open throat pick-up, bale
forming rollers, hydraulic density control- and automatic
bale tying, help you bale 10 to 15 tons per hour in alfalfa,
grasses or stover Easy.
