very thin test. Choice 4 2.00 lower,
Good steer beef 4.00-5.00 lower.
Demand and trading light with a
cautious atmosphere prevailing in
face of uncertainties surrounding
the butchers union strike on the
East Coast. There were several
reports of cancelled sales on loads
of beef that were in transit to the
East Coast and consequently were
resold, at distressed prices. The
boxes beef carcass cutout value
declined $.46 to an estimated
$106.91 per cwt. Sales reported on
72 loads of steer and heifer Wsef.
