    Tioga Holstein Association holds annual meeting
MANSFIELD The Tioga
County Holstein Association
recently elected new directors and
presented awards to Junior
members with top production
records, during their annual
meeting held at the Whitneyville
Youth Center.
Newly elected directors included
Ed Robbins, Larry Herman, and
William J. Smith. Smith was later
elected president of the
Association and Herman will serve
as his vice president. Ann Lee
Baity and Charlotte Smith will
serve as secretary-treasurer and
reporter, respectively.
The Junior club advisor, Jim
Powlison, presented the milk and
fat awards.
In the 2-year-old division for
milk and fat, Curtis Robbins took
first place. Penny Smith was

In the 4-year-old class, Gary
Baity had first for milk and second
for fat, while Penny Smith had first
for fat and second for milk.
The first place aged cow for milk
and fat is owned by Steve Smith.
The Bud Robson family was
honored and named 1981 Tioga
County Holstein Family of the
Year. The award is sponsored by
the Junior Holstein Club.
Bud, Leona, and children,
Brenda, 14, Sandy, 12, and Brian,
10, live and work on a 150-acre
Holstein farm called Gray-Valley
Farm, located near Mansfield.
Their registered herd consists of 36
milking cows and 35 young stock.
Bud has worked as an A.I.
technician for eight years and
