Nesbit Fleming, Maple Park, Illinois is named to a newly created staff position as Director Production and Research for Sire Power, according to DuWayne A. Kutz, General Manager. Fleming brings to his new position outstanding technical education, A.I. experience, and proven qualifications. As Director of Production and Research, Fleming will supervise all phases of Sire Power’s semen production and semen utilization. He will direct and evaluate research in semen processing and handling. Also semen storage, technician insemination techniques, and field reproduction problems. Previously, Fleming was em ployed by Curtiss Breeding In dustries, Inc. of Glburn, Illinois. In his seven years at Curtiss, he progressed from Technical Director to Vice-President of Production and Research. His responsibilities there included Livestock Department, Farming Operation, Laboratory Depart ment, and Research and Quality Control Programs Fleming, a native of North Carolina, attended North Carolina State University, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Zoology. He received his Master ol Science and Doctor of Philosophy Degrees from Virginia Polytechnic Institute. His Master’s Degree is in Reproduction Physiology and his Doctorate work was in tjje field of freezing embryos. While at VPI he was a Graduate Research Assistant and recipient of the HEW Bio-Medical Traineeship.
