These African Watusi cattle, are among 108
head in the United States today. They are
known for their tremendous horn length, high
browse utilization, disease resistance, calving
dispositions and their traits of high
browse utilization, disease
resistance, calving ease and ex
ceptional horn growth.
Watusi cattle originate from the
Central Highlands of Africa, an
area of very low quality browse,
vegetation, and foliage where they
survive extreme overgrazing of
the land, stockwater shortage, and
highly infectious disease
problems.
