(225,000 metric tons) of annual
potato production above the first
five million
The potato research and pro
motion program is financed thr
ough producer assessments au
thorized by the Potato Research
and Promotion Act of 1971 The
board carries out projects desi
gned to increase consumption
and expand domestic and foreign
markets for potatoes
Current annual budget for the
program is $2,210,000.

reviews its budget, plans and
