Other officers elected were: J. Robert Meyers, Jr., St. Thomas, vice president, Mrs. Lorraine Gloss, Chambersburg, secretary; Alvin Meyers, Chambersburg, treasurer, and Mrs. Beverly Fahrney, Waynesboro, news reporter. Approximately 160 attended the Annual 4-H Dairy Clubs covered dish supper and reorganization meeting which was held at the vo ted) school, Chambersburg. David Mummert, Cham bersburg, served as Master of Ceremonies. Tun Stoner, Mer cersburg, led the group in the 4-H Pledge Nancy Brake, also of Mercersburg, gave the Invocation. Mrs. Catherine Thomas, Mer cersburg, was in charge of the supper committee Maryanne Johnson, Mer cersburg, spoke on the topic, “On the Road to Wisconsin.” Maryanne was a member of last year’s Pennsylvania 4-H Dairy Judging Team that took part in the national 4-H dairy judging contest at Madison in October. Gerald and Jesse Reichard, Waynesboro, who were state winners in the National 4-H Awards Program in petroleum and swine respectively, gave a slide presentation of their trip to National 4-H Congress in Chicago last November Outgoing President Ted Small, Chambersburg, conducted the business meeting and helped present various awards Philip Wagner, extension dairy agent, presented project book awards to York beef YORK On April 6 the York County 4-H Baby Beef Club held its monthly meeting at the 4-H center. Eastern dairy dub had both the second place junior and semor teams. Team members were: Donna and Debbie Cashell, Carla Crider, Brian Egolf, Carol and David Mummert, Kelly Cordell, and Cindy Donough. Judging team coaches James Burdette and Grant Cayman presented judging team members Maryanne Johnson, Paul Cashell, Arlan Crider, and Tun Donough with lamp trophies The team placed first in the state during State 4-H Achievement Days last August Maryanne Johnson was first place individual winner in the state contest.
