WEST CHESTER - The Chester
County Extension Service will hold
the semi-annual homemakers’
meeting on Thursday, April 30,
from 10 a m until 2 15 p.m §t the
Upper Octorara Presbyterian
Church, Route 10, Parkesburg.
The day’s events are part of the
informal education program of the
Extension Service and all in
terested persons are invited to
attend.
Mrs. Nancy Martin of Hershey’s
Azalea Farm will talk about “The
Beauty of Azaleas.” She will
discuss selecting, growing and
caring for azaleas. Slides on the
many varieties and wide range of
colors will be shown. Actual plants
will also be on exhibit.
The Octorara Elementary
School chorus will present spring
selections.
“In-Stiches” will be an
illustrated talk by Mrs. Annette
Martin, of In-Stitches, Extoi, PA
She will share her interest in
needlepoint, crewel, counted cross
stitch, latch hooking and how she
became involved in her own
business.
