Giacommi, 25, Modesto, Calif, joined the headquarters staff of The American Jersey Cattle Club, effective April 1, 1981. Giacommi will head up two major programs of the AJCC, Genetic Recovery and Jersey Marketing Service. The Genetic Recovery Program was instituted in 1975 to identify and record superior unregistered purebred Jerseys and bring their offspring by registered Jersey bulls into the AJCC Herd Register. Over 35,000 Jerseys have been recorded in its six year history. Giacommi will coordinate the efforts of the 60 commissioned agents nationwide who do Genetic Recovery work.
