Resumes production
CHARLES CITY, lowa - White
Farm Equipment. Company an
nounced here last week the
resumption of production of its full
line of farm wheel tractors White
Farm Equipment manufactures
and distributes tractors ranging
from 30 to 210 horsepower from
Charles City
The first tractor off the assembly
line was a White ‘ Field Boss”
tractor Model 2-70 It was greeted
by members of White Farm
management and Charles City
staff in an informal celebration,
which signaled the return to full
production of the plant after nearly
11 months of curtailed operations
due to a depressed farm economy
and high interest rates
White Farm noted its South
Bend, Indiana, factory resumed
production and shipment of farm
implements and tillage tools more
than two months ago.
