were minimal and the beef trade
showed signs of recovery, but

thus cattle in the heavier weight
brackets and in the Yield Grade 4-5
category suffered sharp discounts

Atlantic Processing, Inc., reported
that API is expected to realize $2OO
million in sales during the first

Shippers approved bylaw
changes which will allow directors
discretion in f orming new districts
to accomodate growing numbers of
shippers and would allow
flexibility in determining need for
at-large directors.
Also approved was a change
which will require the annual
meeting of each district be held in
th first three weeks of November.
Guest speaker at the luncheon
was Irvin J. Elkin, president of
Associated Milk Producers, Inc.
AMPI is the largest dairy co-op
in the country with over 30,000
members. Elkin discussed the
structure of his organization.
