speaker at the Tuesday night
dinner held at Schaefferstown,
emphasized the need for farmers
to avoid debt
The regional farm management
agent pointed out the danger of the
new and prevalent attitude that
anything a farmer needs can be
bought on credit

Lebanon extension told
quit borrowing, manage better
Lebanon Extension meeting
was Roland Freund who
warned farmers against
borrowing and encouraged
thrift and good management.
“We’re so used to buying on
credit we don’t think of what it is
doing to us,” he said.
"I hate to paint a bleak picture,
but this is what the economy is
telling us,” he said.
He divided credit into two types,
